What is the problem you found?

People not being able to have enjoyable birthday parties with their friends and family whilst in isolation.

What is your opportunity?

How might we help people have fun social distancing birthday parties in isolation?

Who is your audience?

There is a wide target audience for Hip Hip Hooray. The intended audience are people that are wanting to celebrate occasions such as their birthday with family and friends. They can be people of any ages, as there are many different party package themes. For example, there are three course meal packages that could be suitable for middle aged people, and costume packages for young children. We also provide a variety of packages to suit every person's budget.

What Is Your Solution?

Hip Hip Hooray is a solution to celebrating parties whilst in isolation. It is an app where you can pay to send all of your guests hamper packages ready for your isolation party. It also includes a link to a private facetime call from the app, so you can join the party at the scheduled time.

There are many different themed packages to choose from, including pamper packages, costumes for dress up parties and cooking ingredients for cooking parties. The packages also provide decorations so when you are on the party call it looks just like you are at an actual party. There are many features on the app including personalised music playlists depending on the theme, different tabs for party games to play on the call such as uno, most likely to and charades.

90% of the profits will be donated towards UNICEF’s COVID-19 appeal, to provide support for children and families facing the threat of Coronavirus. As well as this, most of the products in the hampers are sourced from local businesses, to help keep those business running and assist in stabilising the economy.

People could use Hip Hip Hooray as their virtual party planner. During isolation, many shops are closed and people do not want to risk venturing out to purchase party supplies. Therefore Hip Hip Hooray would not only solve this issue, but would also save a lot of time and effort.

Support Required

Funding

We need funding to be able to set up all of the packages and buy the products for them. However, once people purchase our packages, we will be able to pay back this original funding.
