What is the problem you found?

With lock down restrictions, people are becoming less healthy as a result of being trapped at home all the time.  Regular activities such as travelling to and from work, participating in team sports and going to the gym are all on hold during this time.

What is your opportunity?

How might we encourage people to get moving and keep being active without feeling isolated and overcrowding public spaces?

Who is your audience?

Everyone who needs motivation to exercise, especially adults from university age up to retirement age.

What Is Your Solution?

We came up with the idea of having an app that gamifies outdoor exercise, while connecting friends and neighbourhoods with each other during this time when it's easy to feel isolated and lonely.  FitZone would advise people to go outdoor at different times to exercise, preventing overcrowding.

With the large amount of available exercise routines and resources online, it's easy to feel overwhelmed.  This app aims to help people focus on the exercise itself without getting too distracted by the hundreds of workout choices.  Every bit of exercising is rewarded with quarantine memes and a fun and easy cooking recipe.

The database of the app would allow people from the same neighbourhood to see which part of the suburb is crowded, much like google map's indication of traffic on particular roads at particular times.  Different accounts can also befriend each other so that they could see each other's progress and encourage each other to keep exercising.
