What is the problem you found?

We are trying to help cotton farmers reduce the amount of water the farmers use on their cotton. Currently, a lot of water is wasted by fasters whilst growing crops and we believe we can fix this.

What is your opportunity?

How might we reduce the amount of water wasted during cotton farming?

Who is your audience?

Our customers are farmers, particularly those who care about their environmental impact. For example, Bob. Bob is a cotton farmer who cares about the environment and is quite good at budgeting. He is getting a very high water bill and needs to use our product to save money and to help his cotton to grow better.

What Is Your Solution?

Our solution is to make a sensor for cotton farmers to detect how dry the crops are so it will send an electric signal to a water tank and will open up a hatch and send water through a pipe line and the water will go through to the roots. This will reduce the amount of watering as the crops will only be watered when needed. The water will also go directly through to the roots so not as much water will be required. This will also save farmers some money in the long term as they won't be using as much water and their cotton will grow more efficiently.
