What is the problem you found?

The problem we are focusing on is fast fashion. Companies and individuals create a lot of waste because of the changing trends and the need to be trendy and up to date with your fashion.

What is your opportunity?

How might we use old fabric and clothing scraps to make new linen and homewares?

Who is your audience?

Due to the fast fashion industry, most people continuously update their wardrobes and do not know what to do with their old items of clothing. These people can donate their old clothes and know that it will be going to a good cause. Comparatively, a large number of young people and their families struggle to afford basic comforts such as pillows and doonas. During winter, having access to these resources becomes increasingly important in ensuring the health and wellbeing of children and their families across Australia.

What Is Your Solution?

We will shred old clothes and fabric and use them as pillow and doona stuffing to start with. Then we can look at other opportunities e.g. creating new linen.
