How might we improve First Australian's rights and equality through the fashion industry?
Customer / Problem
First Australians often face challenges in securing employment, with employment rates sitting at around 49.1% for the population.
Around 30% of First Australian households live in income poverty, meaning around 120,000 are below the poverty line.
This can hopefully be solved through the implementation of solutions that allow for better income for many, as well as the education of wider society on the issues facing First Australian peoples.
Our customers are large brands looking to raise awareness and support First Australian culture and startup brands, as well as the consumer looking to learn and support First Australian communities and brands through the purchasing of fashion items.
Bunji Brands aims to form partnerships between First Australians brands and well known Australian retailers / brands to create exposure, awareness and promotion opportunities for talented small First Australian brands trying to make an impact in the retail industry.
Larger brands / retailers will also benefit from working with Bunji Brands allowing them to educate their consumers about by First Australians.
For organisation such as Cotton On, a partnership with Bunji Brands and Small First Australian brands will support their company foundation.
- It will encourage consumption of their products to support First Australian brands
- Media exposure and opportunities through partnership with First Australian brands and Ambassadors
- By investing in a partnerships with First Australian brand these companies will be supporting and influencing their consumer knowledge of First Australian people and will donate a percentage of profits from the selected products back into the First Australian small businesses
How will it work:
- The First Australian products will be identified by a tag on the individual product
- This will make the Fist Australian products easily identifiable to consumers
- On the reverse of the tag will be a QR code which will link to the First Australian consumer website, where they will be able to find out more information about the First Australian brands with links to their individual website and a dedicated shop showcasing products from a variety of First Australian brands
