Problem Statement

How might we create a safe space for young people experiencing anxiety?

Customer / Problem

Anxiety among young people is rising, they need spaces and support that will help them feel calm and safe. One of the issues with anxiety is that there's a stigma attached which makes young people feel like there's something wrong with them when they have anxiety. Parents and carers sometimes also contribute to this stigma unintentionally.

Solution

Calm Your Quells is a chill-out space run by and for young people, where young people experiencing anxiety can go to feel accepted and calm. It is a safe and quiet area with activities, bean bags, fidget toys, TV, board games, crafts, and couches. This is paired with an educational website where parents and teachers can learn about anxiety and how to provide support for those in their care.
