What is the problem you found?

How might we offer more affordable food options to students in the school canteen? 

Customer / Problem

Students at school lack the funds to be paying the excessive prices that are currently in place for products in the school canteen. This could deter some students from eating food during breaks and the added costs build up over time.

What Is Your Solution?

"The Clean Canteen" is an innovative new canteen designed by students for students.

The canteen will source ingredients from local suppliers and repurpose foods that supermarkets and cafes would otherwise discard at the end of the day. Packaging would be sustainable with a strong focus on being waste free.

The canteen would also employ students from the school, giving them valuable skills in hospitality that could be used to help get a first job.
