How might we provide healthy food for students in need at our school?

We want to engage our school community to support students who come to school without breakfast or lunch. While some people may not have enough food to eat, there are also a lot of people who throw out unwanted food at home and in school. It would be great if there was a way for those with more food than they wan, to help those with less. 

What Is Your Solution?

Food Fountain is a program that generates, repackages and redistributes unwanted food as healthy and different options for students in need. We motivate students to present unwanted food items from their homes and lunch boxes to a collection site where the food is repackaged and made available to students in need. The program is carefully designed to ensure that while students can access healthy meals for lunch and breakfast, their privacy is also respected.
