Problem Statement
How might we reduce crime in our community?
Customer / Problem
Our customers are members of the community. Some community members cannot afford their basic needs and so they resort to crime in order to get by. Other members of the community who have money, always live in fear and are overly protective. Both sides belong in the same community.
Solution
The Food Journey uses food to bring the community together. Those who have food to get rid off and those who need the food meet in the middle. The program collects imperfect or unwanted food and sells these to raise funds for the community. The funds go to raising awareness on the needs in the community and also provides extra support for those who can't afford their basic needs through programs like soup kitchens and community barbecues.
