How might we provide homeless people with shelter, sustainable employment and food choices?

Customer / Problem

Our customers are all the people in our area who are having trouble trying to make ends meet, whether they be homeless, unemployed, or living in poverty and who are struggling to find a job, put food on the table or may be living without a home. 

What Is Your Solution?

The Garden is a precinct consisting of a flower garden, fruit garden, vegetable garden, a homeless shelter, a cafe and flower shop as well as an employment and mental wellness support centre.

People will be provided with seeds to grow a wide range of produce which may be used for consumption or to sell and generate an income. People may also utilise the shelter when required and the employment support centre to help find sustainable employment.

The Garden aims to improve the mental wellbeing of homeless people by providing access to the garden to give them a focus to work on, while  also receiving shelter and food, supporting the ability for them to create their own business from their garden.
