Problem Statement

How might we educate young girls to increase their engagement with sport in schools?

Customer / Problem

The staff at schools who are having trouble engaging girls in sport because they don't feel comfortable or confident participating in sports. This can be for a number of reasons, including a lack of female role models, gender norms deterring women from participating, logistical challenges in creating safe spaces, and the attitudes of men.

Solution

A program for young girls designed to develop confidence when playing sport.

We will travel to different schools and inform students about the many opportunities women have in the sporting industry. This will inspire young women to continue playing sport, provide them with role models, and give them clear pathways to pursuing careers in the industry.

The program will be run by us, who as young women, have lived experience and understand the barriers for girls being involved in sport.
