Problem Statement

How might we encourage communities to appropriately reuse and recycle materials?

Customer / Problem

Our customer is a middle income, suburban woman who is looking for a cheap and effective way of reducing her carbon footprint. She knows that in the current system, the majority of recyclable materials she puts in her recycling bins do not get recycled even though there are materials that can potentially be reused by others in local communities.

Solution

Give and Take is a community recycling and reuse exchange and drop off hub. The centre will have different sections where people can donate their recyclable materials, exchange them and buy new products made from those materials. Any profit made from our hub is reinvested into environmental research and local climate action plans.
