What is the problem you found?

How might we create a safe, supportive and judgement-free space for the community?

Customer / Problem

There is a lack of support, resources and education for and about the LGBTQIA+ community, especially among the younger population.

Our customers are those wanting to learn more about the LGBTQIA+ community or LBGTQIA+ seeking support in the community.

What Is Your Solution?

An LGBTQ+ shelter (Hydrangea House) will provide a safe shelter for members of the LGBTQ+ community as well as provide resources, education and support for those wanting to learn more.

It will be funded by selling pride merchandise and novelties as well as craft workshops such as tie-dying. At all touch points  pamphlets and information will be available to those who wanting to learn more, while also raising awareness for the Hydrangea House.

The house will be a safe space where youth can chill, meet like-minded people, while providing services to all in the community. There will be a bi-weekly food drive funded by donations and a roof over their head for those that need it, taken care of by some paid workers and volunteers.
