What is the problem you found?

How might we make public transport services more convenient, accessible and inclusive?

Customer / Problem

The problem we wanted to address was the overproduction and waste of Myki cards. Myki cards are small and flimsy making them easy to lose. Once a Myki is lost it has to be replaced by a new card, this leads to an overproduction of plastic and plastic waste from lost Mykis, filling up landfills and polluting the natural environment.

What Is Your Solution?

We wanted to make an app where you can access and tap on your myki, while being able to find it when it is lost. We called the app My Myki that features 'Find my Myki', a tracking device that tracks your Myki so you can find it if it is lost. We also added a feature so information about your Myki can be translated into different languages.
