What is the problem you found?

During COVID-19 there has been a sense of panic and hysteria, perpetuated by the media. This fear mongering has made it difficult to foster a sense of camaraderie within our community to help support all of us through this time.

Customer / Problem

Our customers are all Australians who want to stand together during this crisis, even if we can't physically. Those who want to create a safe and informative space in which we aim to bring Australians together.

What Is Your Solution?

Our solution is an online portal/downloadable application by the name of National Emergency Gateway. It will be similar to VIC Emergency but on a national scale.

The app will alert your device when an emergency is in close nearby. This focuses on anything that affects communities, including natural disasters such as bush-fires, floods and cyclones. The app draws on weather forecasting data to help alert and prepare the community for any emergencies they may face. The app will also provide vital information such as evacuation orders.

In addition, the portal will allow users to reach out for support or to volunteer to help communities that are going through a tough time. The aim is for this to be a safe, supportive and informative space for all Australians.
