Problem Statement

How might we make fruit and vegetables more affordable and accessible for local people in Birkdale South?

Customer / Problem

There is a lack of affordable, accessible fruit and vegetables. Often what people can access comes from supermarkets (where we don't know the freshness of the products available).

The problem statement - a lack of affordable fruit and vegetables for the local community.

Solution

Our solution is a community garden in the Birkdale South area. Fill a box with 1kg of fruit and vegetables, and pay $10 at the exit.

Connections

The local Council has an interest in developing affordable, nutritious community gardens like our idea, so we would welcome connections within Council who could help us develop our idea, provide feedback and validation.

Advice

We would welcome advice about our business model and how we can develop a more detailed business plan. We would like to understand if our budget is feasible and what kind of validation we need to do to bring our idea to life.
