What is the problem you found?

How might we encourage people to pick up rubbish and put it in bins?

Customer / Problem

The school's administration and the education system is facing issues with having a messy school campus that has litter. Students may not understand, be interested in, or engaged with environmental issues. This can contribute to excessive litter that harms the natural ecosystem and ends up in local waterways.

What Is Your Solution?

We have come up with a training program where students from the school can be trained in painting, learning to paint on bins. This will attract people to pick up rubbish and put it in the bin, engage students in environmental issues, and create a sense of ownership over waste within the school. This could be subsidised by schools, with a small fee paid by students as an arts and environmental education program. Over time, a cultural change will contribute to a cleaner environment.

We would need to be connected with Council waste management services.
