What is the problem you found?

How might we shorten the response time for medical assistance to sport injury?

Customer / Problem

Sports injuries are a big problem in the sporting industry, especially when it comes to contact sports such as rugby. While many long term effects of these injuries are entirely preventable, the response time of medical assistance is crucial in reducing the severity and permanency of these effects. However, often medical assistance does not arrive until it is too late - and this is largely due to the fact that many sports injuries go undetected.

What Is Your Solution?

We have designed an innovative technology called the Player Injury Monitor (or PIM), to help efficiently and effectively identify injuries sustained during contact sports. The technology spans both a software and physical device, worn and accessed by the player via a mobile app. The prototype we have developed for our product is a wearable helmet, equipped with finely tuned sensors which can scan the player's body for injury, as well as provide other essential pieces of information such as blood type and medical history. Through the implementation of this technology across all major sporting leagues, we will be able to ensure that no injury goes undetected, locking in the right medical assistance and shortening response times.
