What is the problem you found?

How might we help people who have been displaced by a natural disaster or misfortune such as bushfires?

Customer / Problem

We will work with people who have lost their homes and shelter due to a natural disaster or a misfortune. Sometimes insurance companies take too long to respond to people in need or just don't respond at all. It would be great if there were services that help people get back on their feet when they have been knocked down without money-making being the main focus.

What Is Your Solution?

RecStays are unique and carefully designed building complexes that act as a temporary back up and emergency shelters for people who have been displaced by a natural disaster of misfortune. The facilities are funded by philanthropic organisations for the use of the community. Stayers remain for as long as they need and then pay a low cost for rent and upkeep if they end up staying over 18months.
