What is the problem you found?

Our root problem is the lack of education and awareness around scams. 

Our How Might We question: How might we spread awareness and educate people of all ages on scams?

Scamming is becoming more common, so our solution is to spread awareness and educate everyone to feel safe online and protect themselves. 

 

Customer / Problem

Our product targets people of all ages that use the internet. And guess what? Almost every single person in the world uses the internet in some kind of form.

An example of our customer is Jimothy – he has an online shopping addiction and always gets charged too much. He heavily relies on these deliveries and purchases. After using our product he will be informed on scams and what to do if he is scammed. 

What Is Your Solution?

We have made an app that checks other apps to see how likely it is that someone be scammed on that website or app. 

Some of the features are:

• A report button to report scams 
• A help button 
• Tutorials on how to be safe online 
• Notifications on when a scam is likely to happen 

To measure success, we want 60,000 people to download our app in the first 6 months.
