Problem Statement

How might we stop used plastic on Rottnest Island from going into the ocean?

Customer / Problem

Rottnest Island is a popular beach holiday location and yet the general stores don't have affordable and sustainable tote bags for use. In addition, there is too much plastic ending up in our beautiful oceans full of native wildlife. There aren't many simple solutions to this problem at the moment. Bike riding teenagers on the island would love a way to carry their belongings as they enjoy time on the Island.

Our solution is to manufacture sustainable bags made from recycled plastics and produced by people on Rottnest island. Solis bags are sold at affordable prices with 10% of the profits going to marine life funds.

Support Required

Please help us with funding to support the recovery of used plastic, manufacture of the bags and marketing to the Rottnest community.
