How might we increase confidence for students to voice their opinions?

Many students feel scared to talk face to face with school staff about their their ideas, needs or issues they face. There is a lack of appropriate forums for students to receive information and to speak up; and many students feel like their teachers do not view what they say in conversations as being valid. These issues can lead to teachers being unaware of the well-being of their students. 

What Is Your Solution?

Our solution is a mobile application that anonymously connects student voices (their wants/needs/concerns) with the school, specifically with the new vertical house system. The app will allow for better communication between teachers, staff and students. It will have spaces for students to anonymously provide feedback and express their ideas, access information on upcoming events and fundraisers, connect with house teams, access practical advise and tools to cope with difficulties and to check in with their well-being. House teams will organise and run fundraisers to gain house points, with the funds going to charities of their choosing. The app will also include reminds to be kind.
