What is the problem you found?

How might we make all users of social media happy and healthy while using the platform?

Customer / Problem

Our customers are people whose wellbeing and mental health are being negatively affected by hateful and mean content on social media.

What Is Your Solution?

Uplift aims to implement a mandatory technology that makes it impossible to send harmful messages on social media. Users who send harmful messages would get 3 chances after which a block would apply to their account followed by a ban of one month.

Uplift also includes positive material that would be sent to every member and a proactive program that searches for upset or depressed users and automatically starts a call between the user and a helpline.

Support Required

Funding

We would need to get funding from the major platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat to create this project.

Development

To create this product, we would need to have a team of expert coders and psychologists. The psychologists could tell us the different ways that people of all ages express their different emotions generally, and the coders could design software for the program. They would create a strict survey of what people think is mean and what they think is acceptable, and what makes them happy.
