How might we protect the main water supply from tidal waters?

Customer / Problem

The Tweed Shire Council is our customer. The community's main water supply is subject to tidal inundation resulting in salt water entering the freshwater. 

What Is Your Solution?

Building the weir one metre higher and adding a water salinity and height sensor to release saltwater into a pipe that leads to Tugun desalination plant. The problem the girls tried to solve was the issue of salt water contaminating the freshwater supply.
