What is the problem you found?
The main problems I found were people not feeling motivated to do certain things, not wanting to leave the house due to the pandemic and feeling like they have cabin fever and just stuck at home. When people have the problem of not feeling motivated they don't do normal routine things like, making dinners and going to the supermarket. This leaves the problem of not knowing what to make and not having the right ingredients to make it.
What is your opportunity?
How might we come up with meal ideas from ingredients you have left in your pantry or fridge so you don't have to leave your house?
Who is your audience?
Anyone who wants to cook meals, mainly adults or teenagers who do the shopping and make dinners/meals. Anyone that downloaded the app could use it.
What Is Your Solution?
An app that lets you take a photo of your pantry or fridge and it detects the ingredients you have left. It will then suggest meal ideas using only those ingredients that you have, making it less likely for you to go out and contaminate yourself during COVID-19 and more likely for you using up everything in your pantry or fridge before you have to go back to the supermarket. The app uses face recognition but instead of picking up facial features, it picks up food labels, food ingredients and food recognition.
