Responsible Consumption & Production

What is the problem you found?

Our problem is that fashion is not produced sustainably. Ethical fashion is not being consumed widely enough and there needs to be more of a focus on the harms of the fast fashion industry.

What is your opportunity?

How might we encourage others to make sustainable and ethical fashion choices through upcycling and repurposing clothing to reduce waste?

Who is your audience?

Our target customers are young people (12-25 years old) who are motivated to consume sustainably but do not have an avenue which allows them to do so.

What Is Your Solution?

Our solution is to establish an online sustainable fashion network in collaboration with local, independent stores, as well as larger corporations, to promote ethical and environmentally-friendly consumption of clothing. This is achieved through exchanging quality, pre-loved clothing for store credit, which can then be used to purchase other items through the online sustainable fashion network. The website also contains information and workshops on how to upcycle and repurpose your own clothing to encourage young people to care for their garments.
