What is the problem you found?

The problem we have found is that kids aren’t educated enough on finance from an early age because it is a lot to learn, teach, and is easy to get overwhelmed.

What is your opportunity?

How might we engage students to learn financial skills in a fun and simple way so they can absorb and retain it without getting overwhelmed?

Who is your audience?

Parents struggling to start teaching their kids about finance, that need a boost or a helping hand- and kids that need education about the topic or are eager to learn about it for the future.

Often kids aren't taught economics until later in school, when they are closer to leaving home, instead of when they are younger and need to be taught these skills from their parents.

What Is Your Solution?

Our solution is a family card game that matches the economic terms to each other, from a word and an explanation. It also has extra questions on the card that let the parents elaborate on the idea to teach their kids about each concept further, making it more personal and easier to play the game along the way.

The benefits to Famnomics are:

1. It is a different way to learn about financial literacy, ie educational game at home, not in the classroom.

2. It supports the parents' skills by giving them a resource, which helps them to teach their kids and they can spend time together promoting wellbeing.

3. Kids can do their own research after learning about the terms in Famnomics, to deepen their understanding.
