Customer / Problem

There are two customers - young LGBTQIA+ folks, and people who do not have a comprehensive understanding of queer and gender diverse communities.

Young LGBTQIA+ people, and those questioning might feel isolated, confused, and alone. This can be detrimental to their mental health and lead to a negative perception of themselves.

People who want to know more on topics surrounding the LGBTQIA+ community, such as parents, may feel disconnected to their family or friends. They may hold prejudices or false perceptions of the community. This could lead to social divisions and a lack of empathy towards each other.

What Is Your Solution?

Ask Away is an app that uses chatrooms support the LGBTQIA+ community. The app provides an opportunity for people who don't understand the LGBTQIA+ community to ask questions and become more educated, while it also provides support to young queer and gender diverse people who might be questioning.

The chatrooms will be monitored by people who know how to support the queer and gender diverse community, through either lived experience or extensive working experience.

The app will be funded through the sale of 'Ask Away' merchandise, fundraisers, and events.
