How might we convince the youth of our community to get involved in more activities?

Young people in our community are disengaged with the physical and social environment. This can lead to destructive behaviours, which threaten the safety of our whole community. Part of this issue is the fact that young people feel as if they don't have a safe or welcoming place to go. For this reason we also want to target families who may feel concerned about their children or inadvertently contribute to the problem.

What Is Your Solution?

Cafe Connect is a new facility we plan to introduce in our local area. Within the facility there will be a broad range of fun and welcoming spaces for youth to access whenever they like. We will charge a small monthly subscription fee per person which will also provide users of the space with an invite to attend weekly events and activities which we will host within the facilities. The cafe will provide young people and their families with a safe, welcoming and creatively charged space to unwind, meet likeminded people and re-engage with the community.
