What is the problem you found?
How might we reduce criminal activity in the Shailer Park area which is negatively impacting the community and influencing the behaviour of adolecants?
Customer / Problem
Our customers are people that have been caught up in crime in the past and are looking to move forward in a positive direction. They are struggling to find a job with a criminal record and often have to resort back to criminal activities to live.
What Is Your Solution?
'Con Work' is focused on connecting rehabilitated criminals and previous offenders with meaningful and sustainable employment.
'Con Work' has created an app for use by job seekers as well as employers. Job seekers may upload their resume without sharing their name, gender, age and race to try and eliminate prejudice in the employer’s choice of potential employees.
Employers may sign up to the app and find employees with prior convictions and give them a second chance. Benefits to the employer will include ongoing check-ins and support throughout the hiring process and in the following months after an employee is hired.
'Con Work' also helps up-skill people looking for jobs who are not yet qualified for the job they desire.
