Problem Statement
How might we reduce isolation and stress in students?
Customer / Problem
Almost a quarter of young Australians are facing mental health challenges. Rates among young people have risen 5.5 per cent in the past seven years. Loneliness and isolation are also big issues facing young people in Australia.
These emontional challanges are causing poorer outcomes at school, in the workplace and in life.
Solution
A weekly workshop, where participants can create desserts to destress. Held at school, this would allow students a calming mindful activity and also create a space to connect with peers and supports. Baked goods could be sold in the canteen and at event days to help cover the costs of the materials.
Support Required
Funding
We need initial start up funding to buy the baking materials.
