What is the problem you found?
How might we give the elderly opportunities to interact with the community?
Often the older generation feels isolated within their community especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. They usually feel isolated because the community does not provide them as such opportunities to interact and contribute to the community. This leads to the seniors in our community to develop mental health problems leading them to also have physical health issues as well.
Customer / Problem
Our users are the senior citizens and primary schools in our community. Our problem is that the elderly people are becoming isolated within their community and the younger generation aren't getting as many opportunities to interact with the elderly.
What Is Your Solution?
To create an social enterprise that is able to connect the younger and older generation together by creating programs that enable them to work together to create an end product that then benefits the wider community as well.

Connections
Because this is a project that requires multiple parties to agree, that being both the school, with the students and the elderly home with the older being able to reach out to both groups is the most important thing, as if we have difficulty talking to an elderly home we won't be able to hold the projects, greatly limiting the amount of people that are able to participate.
Funding
Because of all the expenses required, with a lot coming from renting the buses, with a bus costing between $100 and $175 each way, along with requiring catering and the cost of the resources can easily exceed $300 per trip, totalling $3000 over a 10 week term.
Advice
We would like to have our mentors guide us through the development of the program as well as when it is initiated.
