What is the problem you found?

How might we make eating out safe for those with dietary requirements?

Customer / Problem

Our customers are people who have dietary restrictions, that limit the things they can eat. These include anaphylaxis, vegan and vegetarian diets, low FODMAP diets, calorie counting for type-1 diabetes, or foods they're not a fan of. This makes it difficult to eat away from home, as you with have to search through huge PDFs to find the ingredients for each food, or ask typically uninformed staff. This takes an inconveniently long time, and often isn't fool-proof leading to many unnecessary hospital trips.

What Is Your Solution?

Our solution is an app that creates personalised menus for restaurants that are suited to your dietary requirements. You start by entering your trigger foods and/or the diet you are on. From there, companies upload their menus and tag trigger foods in them, such as 'egg', 'gluten', or 'fish'. Then, you are able to chose a place you want to eat from, where it will create a menu, solely for foods that are suitable for you. This makes it safer and much more convenient. Additionally, a percentage of the profit will be donated toward allergy research.
