Problem Statement
How might we keep young people off the streets?
Customer / Problem
Today's youth are struggling with mental illness which, when left undetected, are developing into issues with homelessness and crime. This is not only highly detrimental to young people's wellbeing and futures, but it also has a negative effect on the broader community.
Solution
We aim to create a safer world for young people struggling wiht serious mental illness through our organisation - Youth Community Movement. Our organisation will provide a wide range of essential support services designed to keep young people safe and off the streets. These services would include counselling, mentors, youth BBQs and camps.
Another key component of our organisation's services would be the instalment of a patrol unit that would survey high risk areas and provide crisis support to youth in need.
Through the support provided by our organisation, we aim to teach, up skill and empower young people to experience things they might not have otherwise had the chance to. We want to be able to create a safe, happy and healthy community for all, starting at the root of our society: young people.
