What is the problem you found?

The issue of plastic bags stems from their pervasive use in single-use consumption, leading to environmental problems such as pollution, ecosystem disruption, and resource depletion, as these non-biodegradable items contribute to long-lasting waste and have adverse effects on both terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems.

Addressing this concern requires a shift towards sustainable alternatives and improved waste management practices.

What is your opportunity?

How might we tackle the issue of waste created by plastic bags?

Who is your audience?

A potential customer for the hay bags crafted from authentic hay could be a small-scale livestock farmer facing challenges associated with traditional plastic bags for animal feed. These farmers often grapple with the environmental repercussions of contributing to the annual 368 million metric tons of global plastic production, a substantial portion of which ends up as waste in agricultural contexts. The current reliance on plastic bags not only exacerbates environmental issues but also poses practical problems for farmers, such as the need for proper disposal, the risk of livestock ingesting plastic residues, and the overall ecological impact. Our hay bags offer a sustainable alternative, addressing both the environmental concerns and the operational challenges faced by these farmers.

What Is Your Solution?

Our innovative concept is driven by a deep consideration of the challenges confronted by farmers who frequently resort to purchasing plastic bags for animal feed, contributing to environmental issues.
Currently, global plastic production surpasses 368 million metric tons annually, and a significant portion of this ends up as waste in agricultural practices.

Recognising this, our sustainable approach involves crafting hay bags directly from authentic hay, not only providing a viable solution for farmers but also contributing to the reduction of plastic waste in the agricultural sector.
