What is the problem you found?

The problem we found is the beauty industry producing millions of tonnes of waste in the world every year and only 10% of the waste being recycled.

What is your opportunity?

How might we minimize the amount of waste produced by the beauty industry?

Who is your audience?

Anyone who is looking to purchase eco-friendly, natural and sustainable beauty and hair care products, at a low price.
We would also look at partnering with big companies (such as Head and Shoulders) to see if they are interested in using our product.

What Is Your Solution?

Our solution is to instead of using single-use, non-recyclable packaging in beauty products, use aluminum tins that are reusable and recyclable to better care for our environment. These reusable bottles are able to be refilled at your local supermarket, and after 10 uses, they are able to be returned to our iCAN recycling bins to be broken down and turned into new bottles to sell.

The idea is to create a shampoo that can be refilled at various locations to avoid single-use packaging, thus eliminating the massive amount of product packaging that is wasted and thrown away.
